Family's a gimme, but it's still number one. Friends, too. The people I care about and trust.
Something that's not exactly freedom--a combination of freedom and responsibility. Independence, I guess.
Life. I don't know a better word for it--those times when something clicks and you lose yourself in the world. Smelling fresh cinnamon rolls, seeing a hawk swoop past the window, reading an excellent book, hashing out a new project or plan with friends over coffee. The little things and the big things.
We told the man we wanted money for college, to serve our country, or to travel and see the world; he said for us to sign on the dotted line. We gave what we owed, and they took more than we bargained for.
This is the account of one veteran, or many, finally taking back. This is where we discuss the issues we face in returning from war, and transitioning into the classroom. We've DX'd our rucksacks for backpacks, our boots for flip flops, and have sworn off haircuts, shaving, and whatever else we're tired of. We gave what we did, to be where we are now, and these are our stories.

1. My Family (pets are a given here)
2. My Integrity
3. My Country
All are equally important to me
Family
Friends
Freedom
to hone and perfect my skill(s).
to feel and experience personal achievement and success.
1) The United States of America.
2) My personal integrity.
3) Solving problems. The hope that the software I write or the math that I do will help make the world a better place.
Family being a gimme, then:
Health-Physical,spiritual, intellectual. "Don't it always seem to go, that you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone".
Freedom-grossly taken for granted.
See Joni Mitchell lyric above.
People-past,present,future. So often the wind beneath my wings.

I live to:
see the future
affect the future

Don't know the answer to that one anymore Ryan. I used to think I did, now I am lost. God(s) bless you Ryan. ♥

Also, z's got it right.
PS: Am I just in a mood or is Musica Ricerata, II a metaphor for life?

And also - I think the things most important to us change as we age
1. Truth
2. Learning new things
3. Friends
1. God (if he/she exists)
2. Liberty (freedom would be nice, but it's impossible in a materially-derived existance)
3. Human Potential (what's liberty without options)
3+. Homoerotic asphyxiation (if God doesn't exist)
