We told the man we wanted money for college, to serve our country, or to travel and see the world; he said for us to sign on the dotted line. We gave what we owed, and they took more than we bargained for.
This is the account of one veteran, or many, finally taking back. This is where we discuss the issues we face in returning from war, and transitioning into the classroom. We've DX'd our rucksacks for backpacks, our boots for flip flops, and have sworn off haircuts, shaving, and whatever else we're tired of. We gave what we did, to be where we are now, and these are our stories.

I guess you will soon discover how "old" you are by comparison in more ways than one. Why are you already going to orientation? Are you going to be taking summer classes? Yup, they're young, and clueless. Forgive them their ignorance, lack of focus and preoccupation with fraternities/sororities/reality TV and boozy parties. They know not who they are.
Like Alex, you'll figure out how you want to handle them. Enjoy what interests you and make the most of these years. What you do in college will be with you forever, sort of like the Army but much more fun. Have a blast and keep in touch when you can.
